GPS Capital Markets Strengthens Sales Team With New Additions
GPS Capital Markets, a leading corporate foreign exchange (FX) brokerage firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. JP Jeppesen and Mr. Jeff Smith as Regional Managers.
Messrs. Smith and Jeppesen, who had been vice presidents at Wells Fargo’s foreign exchange department, will be responsible for managing and increasing GPS’ client base. The pair, which had focused exclusively on the Utah and Idaho Markets, will expand the firm’s efforts throughout the Intermountain and Midwest regions.
Mr. Smith stated: “We have always respected GPS’ value proposition as market participants and now look forward to introducing that value proposition to a greater audience”. Mr. Jeppesen added: “Through its FXpert platform GPS offers a unique set of tools to assist corporations in managing and implementing their foreign exchange risk that positions it well against commercial banks.”
Before joining GPS, Messrs. Jeppesen and Smith were most recently vice presidents in Wells Fargo’s Corporate Foreign Exchange department. Prior to Wells Fargo, Mr. Jeppesen’s focus in financial services was in public accounting and corporate finance. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Utah. Mr. Smith was an officer at both KeyBank and Zions Bank’s international departments before his employment at Wells Fargo. He has a masters in public accounting from Weber State University.
“We look forward to having Jeff and JP act as our firm’s ambassadors. With their addition, we are even better situated to meet our clients’ needs through our unique blend of FX hedging, payment processing, exposure management and treasury management services.” Said Ryan Gibbons, Managing Partner at GPS Capital Markets.
